We ride Kenya a few times a year. Small groups, big roads and friends by the end of it.
Not Your Average Tour Company
We are not a big company pushing tours for a living. Safari MotoXpedition is a passion project.
We run just a few tours a year, with never more than eight riders. That means we have time for you. We plan every route ourselves, ride every kilometre with you and sit at the same table every night.
Our goal is simple. You go home with the trip of a lifetime and a few new mates.

How it started
From South Africa to Kenya
It started with a long ride. Two friends, five countries and about 5,000 km, from Lydenburg in South Africa to Doc’s Eco Camp just outside Nairobi.
Somewhere between the rum in Mozambique and the last border, one thought kept coming back. More people should ride Africa like this. So we built it.

Meet Raj and Hidde
Raj
The Local Expert and Rally Veteran
Born and raised in Kenya. Trained heart surgeon. Rally man and motorbike traveller.
After 20 years in the UK he came home, with decades of riding behind him. Through the WRC Safari Rally and the overlanding scene he knows the trails most people never find.

Hidde
The Marketer Who Swapped Berlin for Red Dirt
Born in Egypt, raised in the Netherlands, based in Berlin. He found Kenya in 2018 and never really left.
Since then he has ridden across East Africa, including the trip from South Africa to Kenya. He loves the outdoors, the roads less travelled and making sure everyone has a great time.

Doc’s Eco Camp, Kitengela
Every tour starts and ends at Doc’s Eco Camp, just outside Nairobi. Our HQ, our workshop and our home away from home. Great food, cold drinks and the best sunsets in Kitengela.
